Dining Area Air Conditioning Upgrade at Brisbane’s Polish Club

Tri Tech Air Conditioning recently completed an air conditioning upgrade at the Polish Club, replacing ageing equipment throughout the venue’s dining and restaurant areas with a more modern, efficient system designed to improve comfort, control, and day-to-day performance. The upgrade was driven largely by the age and wear of the existing systems and the desire to refresh the venue with a cleaner, more modern solution.

While the replacement was broadly like-for-like in terms of function, the benefits of the new system were significant. Project lead Jayden explained that the upgraded setup allows each unit to be controlled individually, with three systems across the dining areas and temperature control available from three different locations within the space. The new equipment also runs more efficiently and much quieter, and it provides a sleeker, modern look suited to a venue environment where comfort and presentation both matter.

Jayden said the indoor units, an under-ceiling system, are similar to a larger split system that can distribute air with a much larger “throw”. This helps push conditioned air further across a wider area, making it better suited to larger open dining spaces than a standard split system.

As part of the upgrade, Tri Tech needed to decommission and remove three old rooftop condenser units and then place the three new outdoor units into position, largely in the same rooftop locations. To reduce disruption in a busy area and allow safe exclusion zones to be established, the lift was completed early in the morning. Overall, the project was a clean and straightforward job, with the key to success being good planning, communication, and coordination between trades, along with completing the lift in a timely manner to limit impact on venue operations.
