The continued growth and excitement around Friday Night Lights reflects how much this event now means to our local community. Each round consistently drew 500+ attendees, families, club members, and supporters. The atmosphere has become something really special to be part of.
About Friday Night Lights
Friday Night Lights is a community rugby league series hosted at Wests Mitchelton Rugby League Club, involving students from:
- Mt Maria College, Mitchelton
- Ferny Grove State High School
- Mitchelton State High School
- Albany Creek State High School
The event is designed to promote positive sporting pathways, community connection, and school pride — and in 2026 we are proud to continue expanding the competition to include a Girls’ Friday Night Lights Series.
Sponsorship funds help to:
- Provide high-quality playing kits and equipment
- Cover venue, officials, and operational costs
- Support the launch and sustainability of the Girls’ FNL Series
- Ensure Friday Night Lights remains a safe, inclusive, and meaningful community event
